Welcome to the Laurie’s Furniture Catalogue

We offer you a comprehensive range of fine English period furniture inspired
by the great masters of over 200 years ago.
Whether it is a special piece to complete existing antique furniture sets, carved
architectural decoration or a fine piece of investment furniture from our
collection, it is made to become a true antique to be enjoyed by many
generations to come.
Our aim is to hand craft furniture sets and individual items, which have
increasing heirloom value.

Our Specialty - English Traditional Heritage Designs
The eighteenth century was the golden age of English furniture design. Many of my designs were
collected on my extensive tour of 60 to 70 of Great Britain's finest stately homes, castles, and
museums - while also woodcarving with one of England’s most prominent master carvers.

The Polishing Process

I am proud of my reputation as a master craftsman, so when it comes to the specialist polishing
process, I know there are no shortcuts! Using materials I consider the best, combined with time and
effort, we get a finish that will glow for a lifetime. Chairs, cabinet ends, and bases are stained. Table
tops and most exposed surfaces are grain filled and sealed with two coats of heat resistant
polyurethane sealer. The final finish is achieved by applying several coats of lacquer with much
sandpapering and burnishing throughout the process.

Upholstery Techniques

All upholstering is done by a highly qualified specialist craftsman. Using high quality contemporary
materials and upholstery methods, our furniture is skilfully covered to the highest standards.
